The 6BJ6 is a variable μ RF pentode designed for broadcast radio receiver applications. A key feature is the modest heater power making it attractive for mobile applications.
The valve side on. Few details are visible. Under a glass and looking at the gap above the bottom mica the closely wound suppressor grid can be seen to be located close the the anode. The inner grids are clustered around the cathode.
The thin glass tube envelope is 18 mm in diameter, and excluding the B7G base pins is 47 mm tall.
