The 3B24W is a high voltage half wave rectifier with a moisture stable base.

The picture above shows the spiral filament and the coating is also visible. Although the voltage is not quoted it is probably rated for up to 5,000 Volts.

The wide glass tube envelope is 35 mm in diameter and, excluding the UX4 base pins, is 102 mm tall.
