The Z900T is a cold cathode trigger tube and therefore very similar to a thyratron.
The picture shows the rear of the cathode, it is a curved plate and looks like the cathode of a photocell. In front of the cathode is a control electrode, and at the front of the envelope is the anode. This hollow tube is shielded in a glass tube for most of its length. To the side of the anode is a small round electrode.
The thin glass tube envelope is 18 mm in diameter and, excluding the B7G base pins, is 46 mm tall.
