The 6F1 is an amplifying pentode. Mazda used a locating spigot for the B8A base, Mullard moved to a locating pip for the B8A valves.This is an early example as it has the original metal skirt and spigot. Later versions from all manufacturers adopted the all glass version with the side pip for location into the base.Made in England. The outer screen hides the inner structure.The thin glass tube envelope is 20 mm in diameter and, excluding the B8A base pins and spigot is 55 mm tall.References: Data-sheet, 3002 & 1040.
