CV2179 is the UK Government procurement designation for the commercial A2134 pentode.
The literature shows that it is designated as an audio power valve and as a series pass valve in voltage stabilising circuits.
In class AB1 a pair of valves in push pull will deliver 13.3 Watts. The input needs 30 Volts peak to peak and the anode load has to 7500 Ω.
In class A triode application the valve will generate 2.6 W at 1.4% distortion.
The KB/Z identifies this valve as being made to specification K1001 or K1006, the B denotes qualification by a UK authority and the Z identifies the maker as MO Valve Company, Hammersmith.
The thin glass tube envelope is 18 mm in diameter and excluding the B7G base pins the length is 62 mm.
