The 43 UX6 based audio output pentode is electrically identical to the IO based 25A6. The valve is rated for use in low power single ended output stages. This suggests that it was for use in the output stages of receivers.

The classic envelope is 43 mm in diameter and, excluding the UX6 base pins, is 101 mm tall.
