This is a round CRT with magnetic deflection. The electron gun is clearly visible, and no deflection plates exist. The narrow neck (28 mm diameter) is also an indication of magnetic deflection.
The tube is believed to be a Radar device because of the round shape, bonded fixing plate and central burn spot on the phosphor. If used as a plan position indicator rotating deflection coils would have produced the familiar rotating line display.
The mounting plate is 183 mm square. The tube screen has a visible diameter of 138 mm and the overall length is 250 mm.
