The EF86 is the standard early stage audio pre-amplifier valve.

The Mullard EF86 is the definitive expression of this Mullard design. This exhibit is one of the many copies that other manufacturers have made over this valves long life.

The thin glass tube envelope is 20 mm in diameter and, excluding the B9A base pins, is 48 mm tall.
