The metal 6H6 is much smaller than this glass GT valve. This exhibit has the older style pinch construction that adds to the length of the envelope. The glass base construction of the metal valve requires only half the length.

The 6H6 is a double diode. The diodes are low voltage low current signal rectifiers and not suitable for power supply service. The low current is reflected in the low heater power.

The wide glass tube envelope is 28 mm in diameter and, excluding the IO base pins, is 52 mm tall.
