The box is 55 mm square and 153 mm long. The valve was held in place by being wrapped twice in corrugated card with a waxed paper outer. The carton is dated 1934 and that is before the introduction of metal valves and so it looks as if the later 1930s valves were placed in the companies standard boxes.
