Louden valves from The Fellows Magneto Company made Louden valves from 1924 to about 1927. This early style carton has a pasteboard outer with integral pasteboard inner sleeve. Our FER2 box has the same printed design but is less substantial and has a thin card sleeve to hold the valve. The top of the inner sleeve provides the locating point for the removable lid. Inside the box is a third sleeve filled with felt to further cushion the valve. Above the valve is a second felt mat a card retainer and then the lid is placed on top. The box is 71 mm square and 135 mm tall.
