Type CV2519 is the commercial type 4CX150A and is a VHF power tetrode designed to be operated in a special base and chimney structure. The valve holder has holes in it to allow air to pass through. The air is contained by the chimney so that the forced air cooling is directed over the large surface area of the anode ruff. Normally the chassis would be sealed air tight and a blower attached to provide a powerful air blast. The central spigot is the control grid connection.
Internally the heater is surrounded by two concentric cage grids. SeeQV1-150A for details of construction.
The QL/JC identifies this valve as being made to a set specification and qualifying body, the JC identifies the maker - Here it is Amperex.
Whilst the CV Type designation has been printed onto the valve, the original manufacture has the Amperex name and Made in USA stamped in the outer anode ring.
The glass envelope and ceramic base fill.
The co-axial envelope is 32 mm in diameter and, excluding the B8F base pins, is 46 mm tall.
