The CV6210 is a microwave noise source useful at 9.2 to 9.45 GHz. The cold cathode diode will strike at 200 Volts and runs at 37 Volts the current is to be limited at 100 mA. Under these conditions the noise output power is 13.2 dB. The noise power output varies with current drawn at +0.012 dB/mA.
The output is to WG16.
Noise sources are used to measure the performance of a receiver front end.
This is one of a series of four devices (CV6209 to CV6212) covering the frequency range 8.655 to 9.725 GHz. The red lead is the anode connection and the body is the cathode connection.

The envelope is 51 mm flange to flange, and front to back it measures 29 mm.
