The CV6194 is a small X-Band klystron with integral tuning screw and waveguide flange. The prototype was the VA201B.
The mechanical tuning screw gives a frequency range of 8.5 to 9.6 GHz. Electrically the frequency can be varied by 20 or MHz depending on the mode of operation.
The KB/FRD identifies this valve as being made to specification K1001 or K1006, the FRD denotes qualification by a UK authority and the FRD identifies the maker but we have no specific details.
The waveguide flange is 41 × 42 mm. The brass tuning screw has a slot at the end for a link to a front panel.
The lower brown wire is the repeller.
The waveguide flange is WG16 but the rectangular guide is smaller at 14.98 × 8.62 mm. The brass screw at the front is an impedance matching screw.
The thin metal tube envelope is 11 mm in diameter, and excluding the wires is 58 mm long.
