The CV6195 (commercially the YK1046) is a small reflex klystron oscillator with integral waveguide 16 flange. The operating frequency is 9.16 GHz to 9.34 GHz and the output is 25 mW - sufficient for a local oscillator in a superhet receiver. The main tuning is mechanical via the screw but electrically the operating frequency can be varied over a 30 MHz range. This electrical tuning can also be used to apply modulation as wideband FM. The reflector voltage is -85 Volts.
The KB/D identifies this valve as being made to specification K1001 or K1006, the B denotes qualification by a UK authority and the D identifies the maker as Mullard Radio Valve Co., Mitcham.
External connections are by flying leads and at the tube end the joints are covered by rubber boots. Thus suggesting use in aircraft radar.

The thin metal tube envelope is 21 mm in diameter, and excluding the wires is 65 mm tall.
