The CV2492 E88CC is a special quality double triode. The design use was in cascode circuits or HF of IF amplifiers. Additionally it was specified for use in computer circuits for multivibrator and cathode follower use - analogue computers.
The KB/AD identifies this valve as being made to specification K1001 or K1006, the B denotes qualification by a UK authority and the AD identifies the maker as Brimar - Thorn-AEI , Rochester.
The gold plated pins are protected by the pin straightener. The anode is made as a small rectangle within a larger outer shape. The depression leads to the working face of the anode and it is close to the grid.
The thin glass tube envelope is 20 mm in diameter and, excluding the B9A base pins, is 47 mm tall.
