The VT-134 (commercially the 12A6) American metal beam tetrode was designed in the early 1940's for use in single end audio stages of receivers, mainly domestic but the rugged construction made them ideal for military/industrial use as well and hence was adopted by the American Government as Vacuum Tube 134. This exhibit was made for the US Army.
The Ken-Rad name and Made in USA.
Within the octagon is the commercial Type designation 12A6.
The thin metal tube envelope is 24 mm in diameter and, excluding the IO base pins, is 67 mm tall.
