The CV454 is a miniature screened pentode on a B7G base. It is a variable μ valve designed for HF use.
The commercial designation from Brimar for this valve is 6BA6, here it is seen in its service livery.
The anode has extra heat sinking at the centre of the working faces.
The three wire grids seen at the top of the anode. The suppressor grid has a large pitch and would only be used to prevent secondary emission electrons reaching the screen grid.
The thin glass tube envelope is 18 mm in diameter and, excluding the B7G base pins, is 47 mm tall.
