The CMG25 is a gas filled photocell. The commercial Type CMG25 is identical to the CV specification and both designations appear on the glass.
The photo cathode is caesium on silver and the tested working voltage is 95 Volts.
The anode is a wire ring.
The anode with the photo-cathode behind.
The photo-cathode is deposited on a thin sheet that is bent at 90 degrees. The cathode support does not pass along the whole length of the cathode.

The wide glass tube envelope is 25 mm in diameter and, excluding the B4 base pins, is 77 mm tall.
