The CV128 rectifier was probably designed for high voltage use. The ceramic insulators and anode connection by top cap point to this. The rectifier is half wave and directly heated. The thick stub pins suggest a bayonet fitting base.

The classic envelope is 62 mm in diameter and, excluding the base pins, is 166 mm tall.
