The CV85 basket covered glass valve is designated as a trigatron. It is a triggerable spark gap. It was used in the H2S radar. It operated as a pulse modulator for a magnetron and operated at 7 kV. The pulse delivered to the magnetron was 150 KW.

The balloon envelope is 63 mm in diameter and it stands 140 mm tall.
