G8LSD Valve Collection
The 1AB6 is a heptode mixer for battery superhet receivers.
It is believed that Tungsram of Hungary had connections with the Philips organization. Mullard was a wholly owned Philips company and so it is possible that this valve was actually made at one of the Mullard factories.
The final series of battery valves were the ones that had the 25 mA oxide coated tungsten filaments.
The thin glass tube envelope is 17 mm in diameter and, excluding the B7G base pins, is 46 mm tall.
