G8LSD Valve Collection
The GT25E is a wonderful valve. The original design is as a low frequency transmitting valve.
The base is a four pin special and as can be seen from the inset picture the connections are side entry springs. The fitting into the base is by a bayonet action. The pins are short and of 4 mm diameter. The grid is a cylindrical wire mesh cage of substantial gauge. The anode is a copper cylinder bonded to the glass. A finned heatsink, for forced air cooling, is clamped to the anode.
The wide glass tube envelope is 70 mm in diameter and, including the base, is 230 mm tall.
