The 25Z5 is another unusual exhibit, within the envelope, sharing a common heater, are two independent rectifiers. From the heater current of 0.3 Amps it is clear that this valve was for HT rectification in TV systems. Probably used in parallel directly from the mains. The other possibility is for use on 110 Volt mains in a voltage doubler configuration.

The maximum reservoir capacitor is quoted at 16 µF.

The classic envelope is 36 mm in diameter and, excluding the UX6 base pins, is 88 mm tall.
