The 6AS6 is a physically small amplifier pentode. Through holes in the anode plates can be seen the outer two grids. Both wound on notched rods and both rounded at the ends and flattened across the anode width. The cathode assembly is also a flattened tube.
The thin glass tube envelope is 18 mm in diameter and, excluding the B7G base pins, is 35 mm tall.
