The PL84 audio output pentode was designed for use in television receivers. Like the UL84 with a 100mA heater it is a low voltage high current version of the EL84, itself a standard in design.The thin glass tube envelope is 20 mm in diameter and, excluding the B9A base pins, is 69 mm tall.References: Data-sheet & 1040.
