The QQV02-6 is the smallest of the European pattern double beam tetrodes. It was introduced for 470 MHz (UHF) mobile transmitters.
It is used in frequency multipliers and driver stages, but for small output powers can be used alone as a final power amplifier.
The construction is easily seen in this image. The common heater and cathode is in the centre. Each half then has a finely wound control grid. The screen grid is common to both sides as are the rectangular beam plates. The dark anodes are then on the outer edges. The anodes them selves consist of flat plates with the ends bent up at around 45°.
The beam plates are simple open rectangles.
The thin glass tube envelope is 20 mm in diameter and, excluding the B9A base pins, is 59 mm tall.
